April 6th Update

More wins to report! God is at WORK!!

Artie has been officially extubated - PRAISE JESUS!! This means she is off machine support & independently breathing. Incredible answer to prayer!!

Over the next few days the goal is to see her wake up. We do want to see this happen slowly for her benefit as she is slightly anxious.

She has some fractures- her left clavicle & a couple ribs.

Today we will be doing further swallowing & speech tests to move her forward.

Prayer Requests: please pray for continued progress & for peace in her heart & mind to calm her anxiety.

Marlin is showing his strength and resiliency like never before. He is still intubated and sedated for his comfort, but is able to wake-up and follow commands when prompted.

We were told early-on in this journey that the path to recovery wouldn’t be a straight line - we will have ebbs & flows.

Yesterday he was on higher ventilator settings than what the medical team would like to see & was retaining some fluid. We were assured that his body needs time to heal & that there are plans in place to support his progress.

Dad had a great night last night & this morning’s report was very reassuring. We are thrilled with the progress he made overnight and looking forward to the day ahead.

Prayer Requests: please pray for continued progress & improvement on lung capacity, oxygen levels, fluid retention & independence. Pray that his body continues this miraculous healing & that he rests to allow it to do so.

Keep praying - we love you all and appreciate the comments here that we can read.
