April 13th Update
We are having a solid hump day!
Marlin is doing well in his step down unit. He has a small blood clot in his lung that has developed which is common with his injuries. The clot is being treated & very closely monitored with expectations that it will dissipate over the next couple days.
All other injuries are continuing to heal and he is showing good progress.
He is ready to get to rehab & hopefully be with Artie :)
Prayer Requests: please pray that his blood clot quickly dissipates and that he continues to be patient with this process. Pray that his case would be accepted by the rehab facility in Reston so that out parents could continue to recover together.
Artie had a great full first day of rehab! They had her walking with a cane, practicing steps & even getting in and out of the car. We are seeing continued daily progress with her speech and responsiveness.
Prayer Requests: Pray that she continues her path to a complete cognitive recovery.
Thank you again for all the love, our parents are continuing to amaze us with their strength and resilience!
Keep praying.
Love you more.
Alison, Derek & Dylan
Good news each day, but we know Their recovery process will take time. Hopefully soon, Marlin and Artie, will be reunited at the same facility, which would no doubt give them Both a sense of contentment and peace just to be together during this time. Thanks for the update, Alison, Derek, and Dylan. Love to You All. We know many People are praying that God will intervene, and His perfect Will, will be done.
ReplyDeletePraise God! Elated to hear of their great daily progress. Continued prayers for complete healing and restoration. Alison, please give your Mom & Dad my best!
ReplyDeleteBTW - This is Ron Ecker 😎
DeleteThis is Marlin and Arties Aunt Esther again. I don't reply to the blogs often, but that certainly doesn't mean I'm not thinking of them each day. After reading the blogs each day, so much recovery has been made, but much more needs to happen, so our prayers will continue! I'm hoping to hear news that they can be together in rehab, as that seems like it would be a real encouragement for both of them. Again my sincere thanks to you all for the blogs to keep us informed.
ReplyDeleteYou all are so special to be taking such good care of your parents. Everyone will remember that!
My love and prayers for you all.
